My career focus has been preparing taxes since receiving my BSBA in accounting. As my career evolved, clients were asking more questions regarding their investments, retirements and estate planning. I felt the need to cover these areas so took the classes necessary to sit for the CFP exam. I received that certification in July 1999, then took my Securities & Insurance Licensing. In 2012, it looked like all tax preparers were going to be required to be registered, so I did the Enrolled Agent exams for the IRS and received that designation in 2013.
I am self employed. My registrations are Series 7, 63, and 65 plus Investment Advisor Representative with Cetera.
